Professor Carolyn Cooper (PhD) is an internationally acclaimed literary scholar. For the past 26 years Professor Cooper has lectured within the Department of Literature in English at the University of the West Indies (UWI), Mona, Jamaica.
She is also a former head of the Department of Literary and Cultural Studies and founder of the Reggae Studies Unit at UWI, Mona. Amongst her many achievements, Professor Cooper recently launched the Global Reggae
Studies Centre, which will be offering research and consultancy services in the creative industry.
